STAKES Health and Social Work Seminar
Helsinki, Finland
A collaboration with STAKES - the research branch of the Finnish Health and Social Service Department. STAKES is exploring the links between the arts and well-being.

Developing Values through Education, the Media and the Arts
Bellagio, Italy
A conference convened in collaboration with the education section of the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Responding to Contemporary Diversity
London, UK
A conference and seminar organised by CCC (under the name BAAA) to study the education programmes of cultural organisations. There was a follow-up piece of research, which resulted in a report, Creative Tensions that analyses the motivations and interests at work in cultural institutions that have both artistic and educational policies and practice.

1988, 1989 & 1991
Arts and the Changing City
Through conferences in Glasgow and London, the structure, financing and ethical dilemmas of the arts' roles in urban regeneration were debated. Each conference resulted in a book, all of which are available through our BOOKSHOP. Titles include: Arts and the Changing City, Investing in the Changing City and The Artist in the Changing City.

The American Festival
UK
1000 American artists, musicians, traditional and contemporary craftspersons, dancers, theatre companies, storytellers and many more performed in Glasgow, Cardiff and London in a three-week festival.

1983
Britain Salutes New York
NYC, USA
This huge festival featured every kind of British artist, craftsperson, musician and performer in all 5 boroughs of New York City for more than three weeks.
